Map for the pathfinder campaign I've joined, set in - you guessed it - a fantasy version of Europe. This is what I get for asking to play a centaur...

Peikkomaa (PAYK-koh-mah-AH) - Finland, Lapland, northern Sweden, Norway, and Russia, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroes, Orkneys.
Known For: Being cold and having miserable weather; cause for the seven-kingdom alliance. Giantish homeland
Major Races:
Giants, Neanderthals, Uldra, More goblins than you can kill with a bar of soap

Síldrike (SEELD-rike) - Southern Norway, Western Sweden
Known For: Major herring producer. Weather slightly less miserable than Peikkoma. Member of Seven-Kingdom Alliance.
Major Races: Mostly human, some elves, Thanoi

Bràndr (BRAWN-der) - Southern Sweden, Denmark, northern Germany, Baltic Islands
Known For: Frequent warring among its Thanes; each island seems to declare independence at least once per generation. Aggressive culture with good music and terrible food. Part of the seven-kingdom alliance.
Major races: Mostly human, some few elves and Uldra.

Éire (AIR-uh) - Ireland, the Shetlands, Isle of Man
Known For: Strong connections to the Fayweald. Maintains aincient druidic traditions as a matter of state. Clan system that is incomprehensible to outsiders. Part of the Seven-Kingdom Alliance
Major races: Humans, Halflings, many fay.

Albion (Ahl-BEE-on) - Scotland, England, Wales, Channel Islands
Known For: Slightly better weather than Síldrike. Strongest kingdom among the Seven Kingdom Alliance, at least economically. North often subject to troll invasions from the islands.
Major Races: Cosmopolitan in the cities, almost totally human and Halfling otherwise.

Lotharingia (Lo-THAR-in-gee-ah) - Western Germany, the Netherlands, eastern Belgium and France, Luxembourg
Known for: Staid traditionalism, good food and bad music. Third-most druidic of the large kingdoms. Occasional border conflict with Bràndr. Part of the Seven Kingdom Alliance.
Major Races: Humans, elves, Hobgoblins (they don't get along)

Capetia (Ka-PETCH-ee-ah) - Northern France and western Switzerland
Known For: Not much of anything. Largely farm country, tightly controlled by feudal nobles. Poorest of the Seven-Kingdom Alliance.
Major Races: Almost totally human; some halflings.

Euskalria (Ooz-KAHL-ree-ah) - Southern and western France
Known for: Only nation where the common language isn't that common. Ruled by matriarchal tryptich. Frequently talks about leaving the Seven-Kingdom Alliance, but never does.
Major Races: Humans, Gnomes, Halflings; frequent refuge for refugees and runaways.

Iberica (Ee-BEAR-ee-kah) - Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Andorra, Northern Morocco and Algeria
Known For: Most technologically advanced of Uropa nations. No clear central governorship. Conducts global trade, but spends as fast as it collects. Frequent explosions.
Major races: Gnomes, Humans, Asheratis (in southern portion). World travel means anything could show up.

Zeladûr (Zeel-ah-DOOR) - Southeastern France, Sub-alpine Italy, Sicily (recently gained) Adriatic Coast, Albania, western Macedonia, central Greece
Known For: Open practice of necromancy. This leads to all sorts of other things Zeladûr is known for, and no outsider is quite sure what is and isn't true. Recently took the island of Palermo.
Major Races: Mostly human and Gnome. Dwarves in the north.

Dwardrukar Communities (Dwar-JOO-kar) - Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Balkans, Romania, Bulgaria, Nildavia, southwestern Ukraine, the Bosporus
Known For: Connecting Western Uropa to lands further east; major trade hubs. Suspicions of government control through banking. Largely underground, save for agriculture.
Major Races: Dwarves and other underground races. Varied trhoughout claimed territory's surface areas.

Rzeka Federation (er-ZEK-kah) - Eastern Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, the Baltics, Northwestern Ukraine, some of Western Russia
Known For: Multitude of loosely-affiliated city-states, principalities, petty kingdoms, and feifdoms. No central government, frequent conflict between allied polities. Large stretches of wilderness, including the Derkveld.
Major Races: Varied, predominantly human and elf. Drow and Duergar on surface within the Derkveld (black forest)

Thassalos (THAS-sal-ohz) - Eastern and Western Greece, Eastern Macedonia, southern Bulgaria, western Turkey
Known For: Only nation with major political dealings with Zeladûr. Actually a loose republic of many smaller states, mostly islands. Heavily druidic traditions, focusing on menhirs.
Major races: Varied. Many immigrants from eastern lands. Only place where fauns native.

Fenicca Alliance (Pirate Isles) (Feh-NEEK-cha) - Cyprus, Malta, Sicily (recently lost), Sardinia, Corsica, the Balearics, Djerba, Madeira
Known For: being pirate bastards. Nice beaches. Losing Palermo due to Zeladûr's undead shock troop tactics. Don't trust them, and don't fall into debt with them.
Major Races: All of the above, and hten some. Pirates aren't picky.

Lesj Yaga (Lesh YAH-gah) - Most of Russia and north Asia; regarded as barbaric wilderness
Known for: High likelihood of being killed, eaten, and raised from the dead, in no particular order. Peopled by savages, monsters, and supposedly ruled over by a hag of near-godlike powers.
Major Races: Who knows?

Khroi Krassis (KROY KRASS-iz) - Southeastern Ukraine, Crimea, Southwestern Russia, Georgia, Armenia, North and Central Turkey, Western Kazakhstan
Known for: Not so much a kingdom as a territory. No real central authority outside of major city-states. Mountainous and rugged terrain. Strongly independent culture. Common tongue almost unknown.
Major Races: Dwarves, Elves, Ibexians, many others

Gordyene (GOR-die-yen) - Syria, Lebanon, northern Israel, northern Jordan, Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkish Kurdistan, Iranian Kurdistan, Azerbaijan
Known For: Supposedly best warriors found in the eastern lands. Major source of cedar, ivory, and exotic gemstones. Strong culture of personal honor and lack of restrain in stabbing those who offend.
Major Races: Cosmopolitan, weighted towards human.

Sawhra Empire (SAW-RAH) - Sinai, southern Israel, Southern Jordan, Northern Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, western Iran
Known For: Primary trade route with lands even further east. In steady decline. Emperors tend to have very short reigns that end badly. Ostentatious wealth. Slavery and serfdom banned, save as criminal punishment.
Major Races: Cosmopolitan, many "half-breed" races. Lizardfolk accepted as full members of society

Kemret (KEM-RET) - Lower Nile and Eastern Desert of Egypt
Known for: Longest history of any nation. Epicenter of arcane studies. Small nation with a ferociously powerful military; has resisted multiple attempts at conquest.
Major races: dominated by catfolk nobility; cosmipolitan otherwise.

al-Qor'ia Emirates (Ahl-KOOR-yah Eh-MEER-ates) - All of Northenr Africa excepting that covered by Kemret, Iberica, and the Fenicca Alliance
Known For: Unsteady alliances between Emirs. Mostly desert, save for north coast. Impossible to map acurately, owing to magical fluctuations and occasional planar portals in the deeper desert.
Major races: Humans, Sulis, Asherati. Bhuka and gnolls to the south. Most cities cosmopolitan
